Manuscript Development Service
Melanie will look at your ideas, notes, and/or written pieces and help you develop a plan for a larger written piece (book manuscript; Bible study). She’ll work with you on qualities such as identifying the focus of your manuscript, organizing the manuscript, targeting your audience, and finding the uniqueness of your message.
You will receive:
- One free consultation call
- A series of 3 thirty minute phone calls with instruction and feedback, homework each week that will be sent to Melanie and then discussed in the next week’s call
- Emailed written feedback
Note: This service includes written and phone feedback. This does NOT include a completely edited manuscript. If you would like a completely edited manuscript, then you will need proofreading or copyediting services.
Further Development Service
You have a completed manuscript but consider it a very rough draft! Melanie will help you take your manuscript to the next level. This service may include:
- Showing you ways to improve your writing style in areas including, voice; showing vs. telling; flow; freshness; Biblical foundation
- Techniques for connecting with the felt needs of your target audience
- Weaving take-away value into your manuscript
- Maintaining focus in manuscript
- Establishing consistent point of view
- Identifying strengths to continue to bring to your writing

Copyediting Services
Copyediting service includes: all the services of proofreading plus more in-depth evaluation including sentence structure, word choice, overall flow, organization, rewording of text, point of view, agreement (minimum of 20 pages)

- An edited manuscript
- One 15 minute feedback call
Proofreading Service
Proofreading service includes: cleaning up of errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, typos (Minimum of 10 pages)
